One of the challenges that I have faced using Premier Pro is the task of colour grading. I have mostly done this using the Lumetri colour wheel...
Through research I have found that the colour scheme that is most commonly kept to in both music videos and films themselves are orange and teal. For this reason I tried the orange and teal colour scheme on my video and found that it worked very well. Orange and teal works with my video for two reasons. The first being that it makes my footage look a lot more professional being that it is used for all of the mainstream music videos that we see every day. And the second being that the blue makes the background surrounding my subject in focus seem cold and empty. As my character is going through a break up in my music video it gives off the sort of sympathetic feel that I want it to. The orange helps to compliment my characters skin tone and make him stand out from the background in a more vibrant way. This is something that I want because it helps draw my audiences attention to the character whenever he is in a shot.
